Nunca na vida pensei que fosse gostar tanto de uma viagem. Florença é indescritível. Por muitos adjectivos que tente procurar, nada descreve a magia deste sitio. Florença é um lugar extremamente turístico. Mas apesar das multidões de pessoas, é fácil conseguir evita-las e nunca sentir-nos no meio de uma grande confusão.
A cidade é pequena, é possível atravessa-la a pé, muito facilmente. Mas todos os pormenores: as pessoas; os edifícios; as praças; os cheiros; tudo nos faz parecer que estamos dentro de um filme. Ou para mim, dentro de um sonho.
Numa viagem destas, é preciso ser cauteloso. Comprar bilhetes antecipadamente, ver o horário de funcionamento dos museus, definir o que se vai ver. Porque, quando há multidões de pessoas, há também muita procura às mesmas coisas.
Poderia tentar dizer para evitarem os locais mais turísticos e procurar as maravilhas que pouca gente conhece. Mas vale a pena ser cliché, vale a pena pisarmos sítios que já tantas milhares de pessoas pisaram. Em Florença fez-se e faz-se história todos os dias. Nunca me irei esquecer de como esta cidade me mudou.
I never in my life thought I would enjoy a trip so much. Florence is indescribable. No matter how many adjectives you try to look for, nothing describes the magic of this place. Florence is an extremely touristy place. But despite the crowds of people, it's easy to avoid them and never feel like you're in the middle of a big mess.
The city is small, it is possible to cross it on foot, very easily. But all the details: the people; the buildings; the squares; the smells; everything makes us feel like we are inside a movie. Or for me, inside a dream.
On a trip like this, you have to be cautious. Buy tickets in advance, see the opening hours of the museums, define what you are going to see. Because, when there are crowds of people, there is also a lot of demand for the same things.
I could try to say to avoid the most touristy places and look for the wonders that few people know about. But it's worth being cliché, it's worth stepping into places that so many thousands of people have already walked. In Florence, history was and is being made every day. I will never forget how this city has changed me.
